The Washington County Ag Expo and Fair: July 23-30, 2011. Come Ag-Sperience The Fun!

The Fair Board is comprised of 15 elected volunteer members with diverse agricultural and business backgrounds. The Ag Expo Fair Board organizes the annual Washington County Ag Expo and Fair. The purpose of the fair is to educate the public of agricultural awareness, venues and opportunities. We are very excited with our schedule this year that is packed with activities for everyone! The fairgrounds will be home to a wide range of animals including cows, pigs, goats, sheep, alpacas, rabbits and horses. There are dog and cat shows on the schedule as well. Music will fill the air when the bluegrass and country bands take the stage! Evening Grand Stand events include tractor pulls, bull riding and horse pulls. Don't miss the entries inside the buildings. The 4-H members have spent the year carefully planning and working on their home art entries. Open class entries give the community the opportunity to display their talents in a variety of venues from hand spun yarns, to photographs, baked goods, gardening, canning projects and quilts, to name just a few categories!

Visit the Midway for an evening of Carnival rides! The Ag Ventures Tent will provide hands on activities and learning opportunities for children of all ages!

Don't forget the 4-H Cake Auction, the Market Sale, the Cheese Carving Contest and The Iron Chef Competition!

Come hungry!! The food vendors offer a variety of menus!!! Come for lunch, come for dinner, come for fun!!!
